Hello, reader! I’m pretty pumped that my latest book, The Sixth Faction, is the new Epic Reads Book Club pick. I’d love for you to join us over the next few weeks!

After years of secretly working on The Sixth Faction, I can’t believe it’s finally out in the world and finding its way into the hands of readers (like you, maybe?). I originally started writing it just for myself, to rediscover my love of the Divergent series after a decade away from it. I wanted to explore what would happen if Beatrice Prior chose a different faction than she did in the original series–and a different version of herself. Would she still learn to jump on a moving train? Would she make any of the same friends? Would she still meet Four?! If you read and loved Divergent, I hope this book brings you as much joy as it brought me.

But if you haven’t read Divergent (or if it’s been so long you don’t remember it)-- don’t worry! You don’t have to know anything about the original series to read The Sixth Faction. It’s still packed full of dystopian Chicago-y goodness, the world’s trippiest personality test, a certified Sad Hottie (a “Sad Hottie,” by the way, is a character who bears a heavy emotional load of some kind but bravely sets it aside to Get Shit Done…aka my favorite kind of character), and yes, a love story.
